Programming Volunteer

Volunteers participating in our programming Volunteer Program interact with patients in all forms (inpatient and outpatient) and provide them with the resources and information to administer hospital and medical centre programs. Our programs promote the social well-being of patients as well as their recreational and spiritual well-being. Programs at SHHA and SHMC include Patient Book Cart, Patient Library, Patient Information Centre and Spiritual Care.

Responsibilities

Offer specific services (as they are created) to patients and their families and friends.
Provide the materials required to ensure successful programming, such as education material and books.
Ensure effective completion of various patient-centred projects (as they are created).
