• Each patient is seen daily by an assigned physician. Family physicians are notified of the patient’s hospital admission to facilitate information sharing and continuity of care.
• Multidisciplinary caregiver conferences held with SW-CCAC (South West Community Care Access Centre) for transfer to homecare or long-term care placement.
The SHHA kitchen is open for food services from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
Food and beverages are available for staff and visitors to our hospital. These include coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks, fresh baked goods and a variety of sandwiches.
A lunch special is served between 11:45 am and 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
In addition to serving lunches and snacks to the staff, healthy meals are prepared for the patients; special needs and requests are always considered and provided for whenever possible.
Food is delivered to our patients using the following schedule: Breakfast - 8:15 am, Lunch - 12:00 pm, and Dinner - 5:00 pm
It is very helpful if your over-bed table is cleared before each meal to make room for your meal tray.
A vending machine, serving cold drinks, is located in the main lobby of the hospital.
